Beth Bowers earned her undergraduate degree from NCSU, and then her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from the Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research in Bryn Mawr, PA.  She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a member of the National Association of Social Worker’s special practice section for clinicians working with substance abusers. Beth has work experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient county mental health services in Pennsylvania, inpatient substance abuse treatment at John Umstead Hospital in Butner, NC and years of experience in Private Practice in NC.  Beth’s work with adults, children, and adolescents includes play therapy, sessions with individual family members, siblings, immediate and extended family groups.  Beth has a gift for connecting with people of a variety of ages and backgrounds, and clients repond well to her positive energy, obvious open-mindedness and acceptance.
